Plymouth Local Notices to Mariners (PLNTM)

These are formal notices of maritime safety information that affect all local mariners. Information promulgated in PLNTM tends to be that of longer-term duration, although not necessarily so. Examples are dredging, maintenance operations or information additional to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order. There is an annual publication of notices each 1 January, which reissues all those notices from the preceding year which are still in date and the notices are sequentially numbered **/08. Thereafter, throughout the year, further notices will be issued as required and will pick up the numerical sequence from the annual publication for the year. When each notice is issued, the Saturday edition of the Plymouth Herald will carry notification of the notice in the Public Notices section of the newspaper. QHM Web site will be updated accordingly.

Plymouth Local Notice to Mariners are issued by the Queen’s Harbour Master Plymouth pursuant to the Dockyard Port of Plymouth Order 1999, Schedule 1 Regulation 1, Regulation 11 and Regulation 29. These Notices are numbered consecutively starting at the beginning of each year. They contain information fundamental to the safety of mariners.
